TheUppr ("we," "us," or "our") operates the theuppr.com website, TheUppr mobile applications, and the TheUppr Quick Buy browser extension (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information provided through Google or Apple sign-in. We do not store your social login passwords.
Inventory Data
Information you provide about your sneaker collection, including brand, model, size, purchase price, condition, and photos you upload.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken (such as scanning sneakers, voting on drops, and sharing content).
Browser Extension Data
The TheUppr Quick Buy extension operates only on supported retailer websites (Nike, Foot Locker, Finish Line, JD Sports, Adidas). It accesses form fields on checkout pages to assist with auto-fill. The extension does not collect browsing history, track your activity across websites, or transmit page content to our servers. Payment information entered via the extension is stored locally in your browser using encrypted Chrome storage and is never sent to TheUppr servers.
Seller Identity & Payout Data
If you sell on TheUppr, we collect the information needed to verify your identity (KYC) and pay you out. Identity verification is performed by our payments provider, Stripe; documents and details you submit for verification are processed by Stripe and we receive only the verification result and the payout account information required to send you funds. We do not store government-ID documents on our own servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process transactions via Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers)
- Send notifications about drops, raffles, restocks, and price alerts you subscribe to
- Personalize your experience with AI-powered style matching and drop recommendations
- Communicate with you about your account, orders, and Service updates
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payments are processed by Stripe and we never store full credit card numbers.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Resend — for transactional email delivery
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — for sneaker scanning and style analysis (images are processed but not stored by Anthropic)
- Vercel — for hosting and serverless functions
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data via your account settings
- Update or correct your profile information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of marketing emails and push notifications
- Export your inventory data via CSV
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Analytics are collected server-side without personal identifiers.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
